In May

Just a heads up, I will be in Tulsa the weekend of May 20th. I'm hoping to make it a long 3-4 day weekend. I'm heading up for Jedd's wedding ceremony/reception whatever it is... They have already had a small ceremony this one is bigger for friends and family.
College news...

I like to read the
o'colly online to keep up with what's going on with osu and also for the entertainment value. I recommend reading the opinion column, hilarious and scary.
4 in a row...

It's noteworthy that we just won our 4th national title in a row! You don't see that type of dominance in a college sport too often.
Go Pokes!
Jeep

Here's a pic of a Jeep that is real similar to the one I will be picking up this week. The one I'm getting is a 2001 and silver like this but with full doors. Dad and I spent most of the weekend harassing car salesmen. I ended up finding mine through a guy dad works with who has a dealership. The deal was 4K cheaper then the best deal I could find at other dealerships. So happy b-day to me.
I have to say this has been one of those rare weekends the planets align. I found out that with my health insurance I can get 50% off glasses @ Lenscrafters and dad can get 60% off. So I bought a pair of ray ban sunglasses for $45. Also through some networking I have been referred to a guy that started a successful IT business last year and wants to meet with me about doing some part-time work for him! This has truly been a b-day weekend.
St. Patricks Day

Happy St. Patricks Day Everyone! Parade's start @ 11:30a.m. here, about time to go catch some green beads!
Mean Motor Scooter...

Thought you all would enjoy this pic i took of dad a couple weeks ago with his beloved toy. Notice the matching car, shirt and hat. Does someone like red? Kinda reminds me of a pic taken @ M&G's striking a pose in the chair. Vroooooomm....
Camping anyone?

Well it's that time of year again, fishing and camping is about to begin. I'm going camping and canoeing this weekend on the Bartram Canoe trails in the Delta of the Bay. Here is the
route I'm going to take. The boat I'm taking is a
Gheenoe, it's basically a canoe but wider and longer (16') with a flat bottom so it's more stable then a canoe (I stand up and fish off of it all the time) and goes in some pretty shallow water. It's proving to be one of my best purchases to date. I'm leaving the outboard at home and am going to paddle this one... The pic i have up is similar to mine except i don't have the platform on the back. This Delta is the second largest in the U.S. the largest being the Mississippi. There are supposed to be some really old cypress trees in this swamp so it should be fun. I'm also hoping to see some gators, preferrably at a distance. Micco (dad's German Shepard) will be my travelling companion so that will make it a little safer. Shirley the .38 will also be along for the ride pending i run into any Deliverance-type situations, hey it's Alabama you never know. I'm more worried about people then I am animals. Yes, i did just makeup the name Shirley... A good book next to raging campfire sounds so good right now. I can't wait.
Car Shoppin'...

So, i'm currently looking for a new vehicle... I have asked several of you about what I should get because I have been thinking of either a Tacoma or a Wrangler. I have decided that I'm going to focus on the wrangler. I have a couple pics of the kind i want. I'm looking to get either a green or black 2001 Sahara edition. I am planning on getting a trailer pretty soon so i can have something to move stuff with...
A little trivia...

A little more trivia about Fairhope, Al. BJ you in particular will be thrilled to know that
W.E.B Griffin one of the writers of MASH lives in fairhope. Also Winston Groom author of Forrest Gump is a resident. I will tell you about Harper Lee another time... Need to check my facts so I include all the juicy details.
MMMMMMM... Seafood...

It's nights like tonight that I really enjoy where I am living! My new favorite place for friday happy hour is
Wintzell's 25 cent oysters and $2 well drinks! I ate a dozen myself and washed them down with several rum and cokes! Plus it's in
Fairhope, Al which a very artsy and scenic town that sits on the bay. I also took a moment to enjoy the sunset and watch a couple boats heading up the Bay towards the Gulf. What and where is your favorite happy hour spot?
